Maruyama MSD41 Piston Pump

The Maruyama MSD41 (Part# 354051) is a 3-cylinder piston pump with chrome-coated cylinders, delivering up to 8 GPM at a maximum 570 PSI. It includes a pressure relief valve and base mounting kit. Note: color may vary.

Using wettable powders with the MSD41: Maruyama has reported that large particles or improperly mixed powdered chemicals can build up around the pump seals and end up in the crankcase. Maruyama recommends:

Fully mix powdered products into a liquid state in a bucket before adding to a water-filled tank, then agitate thoroughly. After the job, flush the pump with clear water to remove built-up chemical, and periodically flush with tank cleaner.
If spray material does get into the crankcase: drain the oil/chemical mixture, replace the oil, and replace the seals (Kit A). Never run the pump with contaminated oil — doing so risks more expensive damage.

Maruyama is looking into a new seal for the Maruyama MSD41 pump that will stop the powdered materials from working behind the seals.
