The genuine Actisol o-ring for the 30005 stainless fluid cap at the nozzle end of Actisol 12" and 18" wands. It seals the fluid cap in the atomizing nozzle assembly, where insecticide and air meet to form the aerosol. A flattened, cracked or swollen o-ring lets air or liquid leak past the fluid cap, which upsets the air-to-liquid balance and can make the aerosol coarse, wet or inconsistent. It's inexpensive and easy to lose, so keep spares on hand.

When should I replace it?
Replace it whenever you remove the fluid cap, or if it's flattened, cracked or swollen. A worn o-ring is a common cause of an inconsistent aerosol after nozzle service.
Should I replace the fluid cap too?
Only if it's damaged. Actisol's manual says to inspect the fluid cap for cracks and debris around the air holes, and to make sure it doesn't wiggle, spin, or sit crooked.
