How many packing washers do I use?
It depends on your valve's packing nut. B&G specifies 2 washers for valves with a brass packing nut and 3 washers for valves with a stainless steel packing nut. The kit includes 3, so you're covered either way.
How often should I rebuild my sprayer?
B&G recommends regularly inspecting hoses, connections, gaskets and washers, and replacing them when they show wear. If you see leaks, weak pressure or a dripping tip, it's time for a rebuild. Sprayers in daily professional use benefit from a yearly rebuild.
Any tips for a successful rebuild?
Use two wrenches when removing the tip so you don't twist the extension. Install the soft seat gasket with the small end facing the extension, and don't overtighten the hose connection at the tank, since that can damage the new hose washer.
