The Actisol Compact Unit is a refillable insecticide delivery system that does the job of a fogger, mister and aerosol can in one tool. A built-in diaphragm compressor mixes a small amount of insecticide with a high volume of moderately pressurized air and shears it into a fine aerosol, with 98% of particles in the 2.4 to 15 micron range, right at the wand tip. That continuous air stream carries the insecticide deep into cracks, crevices and wall and ceiling voids, reaching harborage that prepackaged aerosols and conventional sprayers can't. It uses no chemical propellant, so you treat more area per ounce and stop paying for disposable aerosol cans. Made in the USA by Environmental Delivery Systems.
No returns, exchanges or refunds on Actisol units.

The compressor sends air through the twin tubing to the wand, where it flows continuously out the tip. A regulator uses that air to pressurize the insecticide tank, pushing liquid through the second line to the wand. When you squeeze the trigger, the liquid meets the air stream in the nozzle and is sheared into a fine aerosol. Releasing the trigger while holding the tip in place lets the constant airflow push the applied insecticide even deeper into harborage areas, so you use less product.
What insecticides can I use?
Only insecticides labeled for aerosol, fog or mist application. Read the label to confirm it's EPA-approved for this type of equipment. Never use Vapona (DDVP), which can dissolve the wand's inner tubing and reduce the aerosol to a pinstream.
What do I need to run it?
A three-prong grounded 110/115V outlet. If you need an extension cord, use a heavy-duty three-prong grounded cord no longer than 50 feet (not included). Wear protective clothing, eyewear, chemical-resistant gloves and a respirator, and follow the insecticide label.
How do I take care of it?
Back-flush the wand and hose after every use, which Actisol calls the most important maintenance you can do. Turn the regulator fully counter-clockwise, relieve tank pressure, remove the fill cap, cover the tip with a gloved finger and squeeze the trigger over the tank for about 10 seconds until the liquid is purged. Drain the tank when changing insecticides or storing the unit, and transport it upright with the red tip protector in place.
The unit makes air but no aerosol. What's wrong?
Check that the tank has insecticide, the twin tubing isn't kinked, and the gauge reads 10–12 PSI. If the tip has closed up from use on abrasive surfaces, the exit orifice can be restored to 0.046" with a #56 drill bit. Also check the fluid cap for debris. The operating manual below has the full troubleshooting guide.
Can I get an 18" wand?
Yes. The Actisol 18" wand gives extra reach for overhead and hard-to-reach areas.
Do you service Actisol units?
Yes. We stock Actisol parts and service units in our Phoenix shop. Call us at 602-371-1993.
