The genuine B&G pump gasket that seals the pump and cap assembly to the tank on B&G stainless steel hand sprayers. If you pump up the tank and the pressure slowly bleeds away, a cracked or flattened tank gasket is the most likely cause. B&G's first two fixes for a tank that won't hold pressure are tightening the cap and replacing this gasket.
| Part Number | B&G P-268 (22028000) |
| Location | Between the pump assembly and tank opening (item #17) |
| Fits | B&G stainless steel hand sprayers |
How do I know the gasket is bad?
The pump works and builds pressure, but the tank won't hold it. Inspect the gasket for cracks, flattening or hardening. When you reinstall the pump, make sure the gasket sits properly, then tighten the cap until snug. Don't overtighten it.
Is it in a repair kit?
Yes. The B&G GD-124 repair kit includes this gasket along with the sprayer's other common wear parts.
