The genuine B&G cup spreader plate for the pump plunger on B&G stainless steel hand sprayers. It sits behind the NP-277 plunger cup and spreads the cup outward against the pump cylinder wall, so each stroke pushes air into the tank. A worn or warped spreader plate lets the cup lose its seal, and the pump stops building pressure.

My pump works but the tank won't pressurize. Is this the problem?
Possibly. B&G's fix is to grease the plastic cup in the pump tube first. If that doesn't help, replace the cup and spreader plate together.

Should I replace the cup too?
