The genuine B&G soft seat gasket for Extenda-Ban valves. It sits at the tip end of the valve extension, where the seat stem closes against it to shut off the flow when you release the trigger. When it wears out, your B&G sprayer will drip from the tip. It's an inexpensive part, so we recommend keeping a spare in the truck.
Don't lose it. This small gasket comes out with the tip every time the nozzle is removed, and it's easy to drop in the field. Remind your technicians to keep track of it during repairs. We sell a lot of these because techs lose them.

My B&G sprayer drips from the tip. Is it this gasket?
Very often, yes. B&G's troubleshooting steps for a constant drip at the tip are: clean or replace the nozzle o-ring, clean the end of the seat stem, clean or replace the soft seat gasket, and replace the VS-156 valve spring if needed.
Should I just get the repair kit?
If your sprayer is due for service, yes. The B&G GD-124 repair kit includes the soft seat gasket and valve spring along with the pump's wear parts, so you can fix the drip and refresh the whole sprayer at once.
Which way does it go in?
Orientation matters. Install it with the small end facing the extension. Then press the trigger to retract the seat stem into the extension and attach the tip and nozzle.
Any tips for removing the nozzle?
Use two wrenches, one to hold the extension and one to loosen the tip. B&G warns that the extension can twist and be ruined if you use only one wrench. Catch the soft seat gasket as the tip comes off.
Will it fit my Actisol wand?
Yes. It's identical and interchangeable with Actisol part 8010009.
