Most engine problems come from a few easy-to-skip tasks. Check the oil before each use and change it regularly. Clean or replace the air filter often, especially in dusty conditions. Replace the spark plug at least once a season. If your engine is hard to start or runs rough, a new plug and air filter are the cheapest place to start.
