Product Description

Actisol 500019 Inlet Hose Shank

The genuine Actisol inlet hose shank for the valve end of Actisol 12" and 18" wands. Inside the stainless wand extension, a poly tube (30009-12 or 30009-18) carries insecticide from the valve to the nozzle. The inlet hose shank is where that tubing connects at the valve end, at the adapter body. Its partner at the nozzle end is the 30007 exit hose shank. A cracked or damaged inlet shank can leak liquid inside the wand and reduce flow to the nozzle, weakening the aerosol.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the inlet and exit hose shanks?
They connect opposite ends of the same internal poly tube. This inlet shank is at the valve end, and the 30007 exit hose shank is at the nozzle end. If you're replacing the poly tubing, inspect both shanks.

How do I know it needs replacing?
Look for cracks, a split where the tubing attaches, or liquid leaking inside the wand near the valve. Reduced flow to the nozzle, with a weak or inconsistent aerosol, can also point to a leak in the liquid path.

How do I get to it?
Back-flush the wand first so it's free of insecticide. Per Actisol's manual, remove the stainless air line at the compression nut on the elbow, then remove the adapter body from the valve body. Use two wrenches on the fittings so you don't twist the tubing.
