When to Replace the Diaphragms

Udor recommends replacing the diaphragms every 500 hours or at the end of each season, whichever comes first. If the oil in the pump's reservoir turns milky, a diaphragm has ruptured and spray mix is getting into the crankcase. Stop the pump and rebuild it right away.

Rebuild Tips from Udor

• Follow all factory torque specifications when installing the new diaphragms.
• Drain the oil and refill with 30-weight non-detergent oil (Udor lube is part 15.5823).
• Inspect the pump head for cracks while it's off. A cracked head needs replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit my Kappa pump?
This kit is for the Kappa 33, 43 and 53. The Kappa-55 uses the 8700.26 kit, which has the same diaphragms and o-rings plus an accumulator diaphragm. Check the model on your pump's label, or call us at 602-371-1993.

What if the pump head is cracked?
A new diaphragm kit won't fix a damaged head. The Udor 6017.F2 pump head fits the Kappa-43.

What about the control unit?
If the pump won't hold pressure after a rebuild, check the control unit. The Udor 6010.93 control unit fits the Kappa 33/43/53.
