The genuine Actisol intake air filter for the compressor in the Actisol Compact unit. It cleans the air the compressor draws in, keeping dust and debris out of the compressor's diaphragm and valves. A clogged filter starves the compressor of air, which reduces atomizing pressure and makes the compressor work harder and run hotter. It's an inexpensive part that protects the most expensive component in the unit.

How often should I replace it?
Check it regularly and replace it whenever it looks dirty or clogged. Units used in dusty attics, crawl spaces or warehouses need more frequent changes. Keep a spare on hand.
My unit isn't atomizing as well as it used to. Is it the filter?
Check the filter first, since it's the cheapest fix. If a clean filter doesn't restore performance, the compressor diaphragm may be worn.
