The genuine Actisol 1/8" NPT push-button pressure relief valve for the tank fill cap on Actisol Compact and Commercial units. Pressing the button releases pressure from the insecticide tank, which you do before opening the fill cap, during the back-flush procedure, and when lowering tank pressure after overhead work. A worn or leaking relief valve lets the tank lose pressure, which can cause weak airflow and a heavy, wet aerosol at the wand.
| Part Number | Actisol 300063 |
| Type | Push-button pressure relief valve |
| Thread | 1/8" NPT |
| Location | Tank fill cap port (item #63 on the Actisol parts breakdown) |
| Fits | Actisol Compact and Commercial units |
How do I know the relief valve is bad?
From Actisol's troubleshooting guide: with pressure in the tank, turn the unit off and check for leaks at the pressure relief valve and the tank cap o-ring. A valve that hisses, won't seal after you press it, or sticks should be replaced.
When do I use it?
Press it to release tank pressure before removing the fill cap, during the back-flush after every use, and when returning to ground-level work after raising the pressure for overhead spraying. Bring the gauge back to 10–12 PSI.
Is this the same as the 4010026 pop-safety valve?
No. This 300063 is the push-button valve you press by hand. The 4010026 pop-safety valve is a separate automatic safety valve that opens on its own above 30 PSI.
Is it safe to open the tank without relieving pressure?
No. Always relieve tank pressure with this valve before removing the fill cap, and never operate the unit with a damaged relief valve.
