The genuine B&G brass pump cap for B&G stainless steel hand sprayers, including the popular N124. The cap screws onto the tank and holds the pump assembly in place, sealing against the tank with the P-268 pump gasket. Brass is very durable, but a cap that's been dropped can dent, crack or get cross-threaded, and then it won't seal or thread on properly. That's when you need a replacement.

My tank won't hold pressure. Do I need a new cap?
Probably not. B&G's fix for a tank that won't hold pressure is to tighten the cap and replace the P-268 pump gasket. Replace the cap only if it's cracked, dented or has damaged threads.
How tight should the cap be?
Snug. B&G says to make sure the gasket fits properly and tighten the cap until snug, but don't overtighten it. Always open the cap slowly to release pressure before removing it.
Will it fit my chemical-resistant B&G?
No. B&G's chemical-resistant 2-SCR sprayers use a different pump cap (43000138). Call us at 602-371-1993 if you're not sure which sprayer you have.
Should I replace anything else?
If the sprayer is due for service, the GD-124 repair kit replaces the gasket, plunger cup, check valve and other common wear parts at once.
