The AR30-GR3/4-GCI is a complete, ready-to-mount spraying package: AR's semi-hydraulic two-diaphragm pump with a gear reduction box for a 3/4" gas engine shaft and a mounted GI40 control unit. Bolt it to a 5–6 HP gas engine with an SAE J609a flange and you have a pressure-regulated sprayer pump delivering up to 9.6 GPM at up to 580 PSI. Diaphragm pumps handle wettable powders and abrasive mixes well, which makes the AR30 a long-time favorite on pest control and lawn care rigs.
Pumps that have been installed are not eligible for return, refund or exchange. We do this to ensure all our customers receive pumps in brand-new condition.

The GI40 control unit sets pressure with its bale hook: position 1 is about 100 PSI, position 2 about 250 PSI, position 3 about 450 PSI and position 4 about 550 PSI. Clamp the relief valve lever down to build pressure, and fine-tune with the adjustment knob on top of the spring (turn it with the lever up). To release pressure, lift the lever with the bale hook in position 1. Connect the bypass return directly to the tank with no restrictions or valves.

How do I start the pump?
Before starting, check the oil level and set the control unit to low pressure with the lever released. Keep the lever in full bypass until the pump primes, then move it to your working pressure. To stop, release the lever to drop the pressure, then shut off the engine.
What maintenance does it need?
Every working day: check the oil level, inspect and clean the intake filter, and check the mounting, connections and hoses. Every 100 working hours: check the accumulator air pressure and the gearbox oil.
The oil turned milky. What do I do?
Stop the pump at once. Milky or whitish oil means a diaphragm has ruptured and water is mixing with the oil. Replace the diaphragms with the AR43285 BlueFlex kit and change the oil.
Can I feed it from a pressurized line or a tank above the pump?
The pump must draw from a tank at atmospheric pressure. Don't feed it pressurized liquid. For continuous duty, keep the liquid level within about 10 feet above or below the pump inlet, and use a coil-reinforced intake hose with a properly sized filter.
How do I store it for winter?
Flush it with clean water, run it dry, then fill it with AR Pump Saver (AR64511) and drain the system. Before putting it back in service, check the oil level and the mounting bolts.
