Ace RP-BP6 Base Plate for RP-600 Roller Pumps

The genuine Ace base plate for mounting RP-600 series 6-roller pumps in a direct-drive setup. It bolts to the pump, and the pump and plate assembly then mounts to your engine or pump base, so you can couple the pump straight to a gas engine with a flexible coupling. It's the standard mounting plate for gas-engine sprayer builds using the clockwise RP-600C-R.

Which Base Plate Do I Need?

Installation

From Ace's roller pump manual, for direct drive with a flexible coupling:

1. Assemble the base plate to the roller pump.
2. Mount the base plate and pump assembly into position on the engine or pump base.
3. Install the coupling according to the coupling manufacturer's specifications.
4. Align the pump and drive shafts, then tighten the pump mounting bolts.

Important: Make sure no end thrust is applied to the pump when the coupling is connected. Ace recommends a flexible coupling to allow for minor shaft misalignment. Also confirm the engine's speed is within the pump's rated RPM, and that the pump's rotation matches the drive. Gas engine drives typically need a clockwise ("-R") pump.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a base plate for tractor PTO drive?
No. PTO-driven pumps mount directly on the tractor's PTO shaft with an Ace PTO coupler and a torque bar and chain. The base plate is for direct-drive setups where the pump is coupled to an engine.

Which pumps does it fit?
Ace RP-600 series 6-roller pumps, including the RP-600C-R and RP-600PL Platinum. For 8-roller pumps, use the RP-BP8.
