The genuine Ace base plate for mounting RP-800 series 8-roller pumps in a direct-drive setup. Ace lists it as the base plate for gas engine mounting of the RP-800C-R. It bolts to the pump, and the pump and plate assembly then mounts to your engine or pump base, so you can couple the pump straight to a gas engine with a flexible coupling.

From Ace's roller pump manual, for direct drive with a flexible coupling:
Important: Make sure no end thrust is applied to the pump when the coupling is connected. Ace recommends a flexible coupling to allow for minor shaft misalignment. Also confirm the engine's speed is within the pump's rated RPM, and that the pump's rotation matches the drive. Gas engine drives typically need a clockwise ("-R") pump.
Do I need a base plate for tractor PTO drive?
No. PTO-driven pumps mount directly on the tractor's PTO shaft with an Ace PTO coupler and a torque bar and chain. The base plate is for direct-drive setups where the pump is coupled to an engine.
Which pumps does it fit?
Ace RP-800 series 8-roller pumps, including the RP-800C-R. For 6-roller pumps, use the RP-BP6.
What engine works with the RP-800C-R?
Check the performance chart on the RP-800C-R page for the horsepower your pressure and speed require. A Honda GX160 with 6:1 gear reduction is a common pairing.
