How do I know the valves are bad?
Shurflo's troubleshooting guide points to the valves when the pump runs but won't prime, or when a demand pump won't shut off. Check for debris or swelling in the valves. A 50-mesh inlet strainer prevents most debris problems.

What else should I check while it's apart?
Inspect the upper housing for cracks and the diaphragm for punctures. If fluid has been leaking from the bottom drain, replace the 94-238-03 drive/diaphragm assembly too. Always drain and flush the pump before servicing.
