Genuine Actisol Teflon packing for the valve body on Actisol 12" and 18" wands. The packing washers sit behind the packing screw and seal the valve stem where it passes through the valve body. When they wear, insecticide seeps out around the packing screw at the back of the valve, and the handle gets wet. Fresh packing stops the leak. The parts breakdown shows three packing washers in the valve.

My wand is leaking at the back of the valve. Is it the packing?
Most likely. Try snugging the packing screw first. If it still leaks, replace the packing. Don't overtighten the packing screw, since that can make the trigger stiff.
How many do I need?
Actisol's breakdown shows three packing washers in the valve. Replace all of them at the same time so the seal is even.
Any tips for the repair?
Back-flush the wand first so it's free of insecticide. Keep the small valve parts together in a closed container while you work, and see the parts breakdown below for how the packing, packing screw and lock nut assemble.
