Udor 6047.06 LP Control Unit for RO-70 Pumps
Udor 6047.06 LP Control Unit for RO-70 Pumps
Product Description
Udor 6047.06/LP Control Unit for RO-70 Diaphragm Pumps
The Udor 6047.06/LP Control Unit is an adjustable pressure regulator assembly designed for Udor RO-70 and RO-70/GR-5 diaphragm pumps. It allows the operator to regulate spraying pressure, direct flow through two independently controlled discharge outlets, and unload pump pressure using the manual dump lever.
This is the low-pressure (LP) version of the Udor 6047.06 control unit. It uses a lighter regulator spring and a pressure gauge suited to lower-pressure applications, making it the recommended configuration for RO-70 pumps.
The control unit features a right-angle flow entry into the adjustable pressure regulator and can be installed in a compatible pump-mounted or remote-mounted configuration.
Features & Benefits
- Adjustable Pressure Regulation: Set the desired spraying pressure using the regulator adjustment knob.
- Manual Dump Lever: Unloads system pressure for pump startup and other operations specified by the manufacturer.
- Dual Discharge Outlets: Two 1/2-inch hose barb outlets with individual ball valve shutoffs.
- Pressure Gauge: Glycerin-filled gauge provides a convenient reference when adjusting operating pressure.
- Bypass Connection: 3/4-inch hose barb bypass outlet for returning excess liquid to the supply tank.
- Low-Pressure Configuration: Designed with a lighter regulator spring for compatible RO-70 applications.
- Serviceable Assembly: Replacement regulator repair components are available for maintenance.
How the Udor Control Unit Works
A diaphragm pump continuously moves liquid while operating. The control unit regulates pressure by directing the appropriate amount of flow to the spray outlets and allowing excess flow to return through the bypass line.
The pressure adjustment knob controls the regulator setting, while the two discharge ball valves allow the operator to open or close individual spray circuits. The manual dump lever provides a way to unload pressure during startup.
Proper regulator operation helps maintain consistent spraying pressure and prevents unnecessary pressure buildup when spray demand changes.

Pressure Rating Note: The 350 PSI specification is the maximum rating of the 6047.06/LP control unit, not a recommendation to operate an RO-70 pump at that pressure. The RO-70 pump itself has a published maximum pressure of 300 PSI. Always observe the lowest-rated component in your spray system.
When Should You Replace the Control Unit?
A damaged or malfunctioning regulator can make it difficult to maintain consistent spraying pressure. Inspect the control unit if you experience:
- Pressure that cannot be adjusted or maintained properly
- Liquid leakage around the regulator body or control components
- A dump lever that does not operate correctly
- Damaged or leaking discharge ball valves
- A pressure gauge that is damaged or no longer provides a reliable reading
Before replacing the complete assembly, check for worn seals, damaged hoses, restricted filters, or internal pump problems. Some regulator issues may be repairable with a replacement kit rather than a complete control unit.
Replacement Repair Kit
For maintenance of the 6047.06/LP regulator, the Udor 6062.53 Control Unit Repair Kit is available separately.

Installation & Operating Notes
Confirm that the control unit is appropriate for your pump and plumbing configuration before installation. Secure the regulator, connect the spray outlets and bypass return line, and follow Udor's instructions for startup and pressure adjustment.
Always place the manual dump lever in the unload position before starting or restarting the pump, as directed by Udor. Start with pressure unloaded, prime the system, and adjust to the desired operating pressure only after the system is ready.
Important: Disconnect the power source and relieve system pressure before performing maintenance. Never exceed the rated pressure of the pump, hoses, fittings, or other system components.
