The Surge Buster® 15" tank baffle is a patented anti-surge system that eliminates up to 96% of kinetic surge in any liquid load, fitting tanks with 16" lids and larger. Unlike conventional baffles that block surge and transfer that energy through the tank into the truck, Surge Buster® dissipates it within the tank itself, giving haulers a safer, more stable load.

How many SurgeBuster 15" units do I need?

  1. Determine the tank capacity.

  2. Divide the tank capacity by 32

  3. This will give the number of units for that particular system.

  4. Example: 525 gallons divided by 32 = 16.4 5. Round up to 17; Tank requires 17 units.

Notes:

- This calculation if for water only, for most tanks.  To be safe, download & refer to the Surgebuster Tank Calculations Form below.

- The system should appear ½ to ¾ full when placed in tank.
