Which MSD41 Kit Do I Need?

There are a lot of small parts in the MSD41 pump, so we put together 3 kits that group the components for a manufacturer-recommended rebuild.

Kit What It Covers
Kit A
Piston Rod Seals		 Oil seals, U-packings, washers, and oil wicks for the piston rods
Kit B
Valve Repair		 Inlet and discharge valves, seats, springs, retainers, piston packings, and o-rings
Kit C
O-Rings		 Viton o-rings (6 each of #011686 and #011377). Great as spares for reassembly.

 

Maintenance Tips

  • Crankcase oil: Use 10W-30. Fill to the red dot, about 0.38 liters (approx. 13 oz).
  • Oil wicks: Lubricate with a few drops of 10W-30.
  • Contaminated oil: If you find water or chemical mix in the crankcase, drain, flush, and replace the oil.
