D-Fense SC from Control Solutions is a 4.75% deltamethrin suspension concentrate for long-lasting residual control of dozens of listed pests indoors and out. It contains the same active ingredient at the same concentration as Suspend SC. It's odorless, mixes with water, and is labeled for crack-and-crevice, spot, void and perimeter treatments, including food/feed handling establishments, lawns and landscape ornamentals. In Arizona, it's a go-to perimeter product, since scorpions are on the label for both indoor and outdoor use.

How do I apply it for scorpions?
Outdoors, treat building walls up to 2–3 feet high, around doors, windows and soffits, and a band of soil or ground cover up to 10 feet out from the foundation. Indoors, use a low-pressure crack-and-crevice or spot spray along baseboards, in closets, around plumbing, and in attics and crawl spaces. Follow the label rates and restrictions.
When can people and pets go back into treated areas?
The label says to keep people and pets away from treated areas until the spray has dried. Remove or cover fish tanks and turn off aerators during indoor applications.
Can I use it in food handling areas?
Yes, as a general surface, spot or crack-and-crevice treatment, following the label's food/feed handling establishment directions. Cover or remove food and food-handling equipment before treating.
Will it stain?
D-Fense SC is a water-based, odorless formulation labeled for use on paints, plastics, fabrics and other surfaces. As with any spray, test an inconspicuous spot first if you're concerned.
What precautions should I know?
Harmful if inhaled, so avoid breathing spray mist. It's extremely toxic to fish and highly toxic to bees, so don't let it run off into drains or water, and don't apply where bees are foraging. Don't spray into electrical equipment, conduits or junction boxes. Read the full label before use.
