NyGuard IGR is MGK's professional insect growth regulator, with 10% pyriproxyfen. It's a non-repellent juvenile hormone mimic that stops immature insects from developing into reproducing adults, breaking the breeding cycle of fleas, cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes, stored product pests and more. Tank mix it with an adulticide for an immediate knockdown plus long-term population control. It's labeled for indoor and outdoor use, including food areas of food handling establishments.

Does it kill adult insects?
Not quickly. NyGuard targets immature stages and reproduction, so adults die off naturally over a few weeks. For immediate knockdown, tank mix it with an adulticide. The label allows tank mixing with most registered products, but do not mix with Vapona or Malathion, which counteract the active ingredient.
Can I use it in kitchens and restaurants?
Yes. It's labeled for food areas of food handling establishments. Spot and crack-and-crevice treatments can be made while the facility operates, as long as exposed food is covered or removed. Follow the label's food handling section.
How will I know it's working on roaches?
Shortly after treatment, you'll start seeing cockroaches with twisted wings and other deformities. Those insects can't reproduce. It pairs well with cockroach gel baits.
Does it work on scorpions?
Scorpions are not listed on the NyGuard label. For scorpion programs, use a labeled residual insecticide. NyGuard can still reduce the crickets and roaches scorpions feed on.
