Birchmeier Lid Flutter Valve 113-360-01

A genuine Birchmeier replacement flutter valve for the lid of Flox and Iris backpack sprayers. It's a one-way vent. As you spray and the tank empties, it lets air in so the tank doesn't pull a vacuum, and it keeps liquid from leaking out through the lid.

How do I know the flutter valve is bad?
Common signs are the tank sides sucking in as you spray, spray output fading as the tank empties, or liquid seeping from the lid. A stuck, torn or dirty flutter valve can cause all three.

Should I replace the whole lid instead?
If the lid gasket is also worn or cracked, the complete Birchmeier lid (103-972-02) includes a new flutter valve and gasket and is usually the better buy. The video below shows how to fix a leaking lid gasket.
