The B&G VC-153 Valve Cable is a genuine stainless steel replacement cable for B&G hand sprayers equipped with the 18-inch Extenda-Ban valve extension. The cable runs through the wand and operates the Extenda-Ban shut-off valve, helping provide precise spray control and a clean, drip-free shutoff.

When Should You Replace the Valve Cable?

A worn, stretched, or damaged valve cable can interfere with the operation of the Extenda-Ban shut-off valve. Signs that the cable may need inspection or replacement include:

• Incomplete Shutoff: The spray tip continues to drip or leak after releasing the trigger.
• Loose Trigger Response: The trigger feels loose or no longer operates the valve consistently.
• Reduced Spray Output: The valve may not open fully, restricting spray flow.
• Visible Cable Damage: Fraying, bending, or excessive wear discovered during maintenance.

These symptoms can also result from worn valve packing or other internal components. Inspect the valve assembly before replacing the cable to identify the cause.

Installation & Maintenance Tips

Before servicing the Extenda-Ban valve, depressurize the sprayer and follow the manufacturer's maintenance instructions. Disassemble the valve carefully, keeping track of the small nuts, springs, and other internal components.

Remove the old cable from the extension and install the replacement according to the B&G parts breakdown. While the valve is disassembled, inspect the VP-151 valve packing and replace it if worn or damaged.
