Frequently Asked Questions

When should I replace the diaphragm and drive?
Signs of a failed diaphragm include liquid leaking from the pump body, a pump that runs but won't build pressure, or a pump that keeps cycling. If the motor runs but makes noise or the pump vibrates more than usual, the drive may be worn too.

Do I need the whole drive, or just the diaphragm?
Some 8000 Series models, such as the 8000-533-236, can use the lower-cost 94-395-06 diaphragm kit if the drive is still in good shape. Check that kit's model list first. If your model isn't listed, or the drive is worn, this assembly replaces both.

What else should I replace while the pump is open?
Valves wear at the same rate. Many techs install the 94-390-05 Viton valve assembly during the same rebuild.
