The genuine Coxreels rebuild kit for the Coxreels 8550 welding reel swivel used on 100W Series large-capacity welding hose reels. The swivel's o-rings eventually wear out, causing leaks at the joint or a stiff reel. This kit replaces them, so you can rebuild the swivel for a fraction of the cost of a new one. Keep a spare on hand so a worn seal doesn't take your reel out of service.

When should I rebuild the swivel?
Rebuild it when the swivel leaks at the joint or gets stiff and makes the reel hard to turn. If the brass body is cracked or the threads are damaged, replace the whole 8550 swivel instead.

How do I rebuild it?
Shut off and bleed pressure from the line, then remove the swivel. Disassemble it, clean the parts, and replace all four o-rings. Lightly coat the new o-rings with the included grease before reassembling. The video below shows a typical swivel replacement.
