The genuine Coxreels replacement spring can (spring motor cartridge) for 3100 series spring rewind reels, which hold 100' of 3/8" hose. When a reel won't rewind fully, rewinds weakly, or the spring has broken, replacing the complete sealed spring can restores full rewind power without replacing the reel.

How do I find my reel model?
Check the label on the reel frame. If the model includes "3100," this spring can is the right one. If your reel is a different size, such as the SH-N-350 or SH-N-550, it uses a different spring can. Call us at 602-371-1993 with your model number.
How do I know the spring is the problem?
Signs include a reel that won't rewind all the way, rewinds slowly, or spins freely with no tension. A clicking or grinding sound inside the spring housing can also mean a broken spring.
Is it hard to replace?
It's a moderate job that's manageable with basic tools and some care, because the spring is under tension. Coxreels' video walks through each step.
