The genuine Comet rebuild kit for MP20 and MP30 diaphragm pumps. It replaces the diaphragms, check valves, gaskets and o-rings, the parts that wear out in normal use, so you can restore the pump instead of replacing it. Keep one on hand: a ruptured diaphragm can take your rig out of service mid-job, and running a pump with a broken diaphragm can damage it beyond repair.

How do I know the diaphragms have failed?
Check the oil. If it turns milky gray, a diaphragm has ruptured and spray mix is getting into the crankcase. Stop using the pump right away and rebuild it. Continuing to run it can ruin the pump.
Should I replace the valves at the same time?
Yes, and this kit includes all four. Worn or fouled valves cause lost prime and weak pressure, so replacing them along with the diaphragms restores the pump fully.
Anything else to check during the rebuild?
After a diaphragm failure, drain and flush the crankcase and refill with fresh oil. Also check the accumulator's air precharge, since a discharged accumulator causes pulsing and excess vibration.
Will it fit my Comet pump?
This kit is for the MP20 and MP30. Other Comet pumps, like the MC20 and MC25, use different parts. Call us at 602-371-1993 with your pump model if you're not sure.
