Andrew Greess: Hi, my name is Andrew Greess from Quality Equipment and Spray at qspray.com. Today, I'm talking about termite rod tips.

In the termite business, many of our clients use B&G termite rods for post treats. Many clients just use the tips that come with the termite rods they purchase. It's really important that you realize there are a large variety of tips. There may be other tips or better tips for your application.

I've got a couple of them here. I want to share with you some thoughts and ideas about termite tips. The first thing to keep in mind is, there are different sizes. It's really important that you pick the right size. You can see I've got four different size tips here. The thread patterns are all different, and the thread sizes are all different.

The next thing is the flow rate. Most termite tips are one or two gallons per minute. A lot of them have actually the flow rate stamped into the tip. I don't know if you can see that but there's a small number one, which means one gallon a minute. There's a small two, which means two gallons a minute. It matters quite a bit. Do you want to put down one gallon a minute, or you want to put down two gallons a minute?

The next thing that's important is the flow pattern. There are a couple of different flow patterns. This is a 360 degree flow pattern, which means the material comes out of this tip and flows around the tip in 360 degrees, all the way around the tip. This is a 180 degree tip. It only flows out of one side of the tip.

Lastly, we have a void tip, where the material flows out the end of the tip. Here's another example of a void tip. This is more for deep root fertilization for our landscape and fertilizer customers.

Keep these things in mind when you're looking at tips for your termite rods. You want to look at tip size. You want to look at flow rate in gallons per minute. You want to look at the flow pattern, they're all critical. Come see us at qspray.com. Thanks so much for watching.
