The B&G VB-147 Valve Body Kit is a genuine replacement kit for repairing the valve body and packing assembly on compatible B&G Extenda-Ban spray valves. The valve body connects the trigger-operated valve mechanism to the spray wand extension, while the packing components help prevent liquid from leaking around the internal valve cable.

This kit includes a replacement brass valve body, packing nut, and three valve packing washers, allowing you to service worn or damaged components without replacing the entire Extenda-Ban valve assembly.

When Should You Replace the Valve Body?

Valve body and packing problems can develop after repeated use, exposure to spray chemicals, or normal wear. Common signs that the assembly may need attention include:

• Leaking Around the Packing Nut: Liquid escaping near the valve handle or where the cable passes through the valve body.
• Damaged Valve Body: Cracks, damaged threads, corrosion, or worn sealing surfaces that prevent a secure connection.
• Persistent Leaks After Maintenance: Leakage that continues after checking the packing, fittings, and other sealing components.

Repair Tip: A leak around the packing nut does not always mean the brass valve body needs replacement. If the body is undamaged, replacing worn packing washers or the packing nut may be sufficient. A complete valve body kit is most useful when the body itself is damaged or multiple components require replacement.

This kit is intended for B&G sprayers equipped with the Extenda-Ban valve. It is not intended for B&G Ban-Drip or XR valve assemblies.

Before disassembly, relieve all pressure and drain the sprayer according to the manufacturer's instructions. Carefully inspect the valve cable, packing components, and mating surfaces for wear or damage.

Important: Extenda-Ban packing arrangements have changed over the years. Depending on the valve's age and packing nut design, the assembly may require two or three packing washers. Refer to the B&G service manual to confirm the correct configuration before installation.
