Product Description

Coxreels 7414 Replacement Center Drum for 1125 Series Hose Reels

Is your Cox hose reel drum bent, crushed, or no longer spinning straight? The Coxreels 7414 Replacement Center Drum replaces the cylindrical center section that supports the hose between the two side discs on compatible Coxreels 1125 Series hose reels.

Damage to the center drum can occur when a hose reel is struck, bent during an accident, or subjected to excessive pressure from hose wound unevenly onto the reel. If the rest of your hose reel remains in good working condition, replacing the damaged drum may be a practical alternative to replacing the entire reel.

Available in three sizes: 6", 12", and 18" nominal drum widths. Select the correct reel size before adding to your cart.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Replacement Center Drum: Replaces the cylindrical center section of a compatible Coxreels 1125 Series hose reel.
  • Repair a Damaged Reel: Useful when the original drum has been bent, dented, or crushed.
  • Three Width Options: Available for 100, 200, and 325 size-class reels.
  • Maintain Existing Equipment: Replace the damaged center drum without automatically purchasing a complete new reel.
  • Coxreels Replacement Part: Part of the 7414 replacement drum family.
  • Manual & Electric Reel Applications: Check your specific 1125 Series model and drum dimensions before ordering.

Which Coxreels 7414 Drum Size Do I Need?

The Coxreels 7414 drum is available in three nominal widths. The actual measured widths are slightly smaller than the nominal size.

Reel Size Nominal Width Approx. Actual Width
100 Size 6" 5-3/4"
200 Size 12" 11-3/4"
325 Size 18" 17-3/4"

Important: These measurements describe the width of the center drum, not the diameter of the hose or the overall width of the complete reel.

Confirm your Coxreels model number and measure the original drum before ordering. The listed dimensions are approximate.

Compatible Coxreels Models

This replacement drum is intended for compatible Coxreels 1125 Series hose reels, including the following common size classes:

  • 1125-4-100: Select the 100 size / 6" nominal drum.
  • 1125-4-200: Select the 200 size / 12" nominal drum.
  • 1125-4-325: Select the 325 size / 18" nominal drum.

Other 1125 Series configurations may use similar drum assemblies. Confirm compatibility using your specific reel's parts diagram before purchasing.

When Should You Replace a Hose Reel Drum?

The center drum normally experiences relatively little wear during routine hose reel operation. Replacement is generally necessary when the drum becomes physically damaged.

Common reasons for replacement include:

  • Crushed or Dented Drum: The drum has been deformed by excessive hose pressure or an impact.
  • Uneven Rotation: The reel appears to rotate out of true because the drum or another rotating component is damaged.
  • Uneven Hose Winding: Hose was repeatedly wound too tightly or concentrated on one side of the drum.
  • Accidental Damage: The reel was struck, dropped, or damaged during transport or equipment operation.

Note: Wobbling or uneven rotation can also be caused by damaged side discs, axles, bearings, or other components. Inspect the complete reel before ordering a replacement drum.

Replacement & Maintenance Tips

  1. Identify Your Reel: Locate the Coxreels model number and determine the correct drum width.
  2. Inspect the Reel: Check the drum, side discs, axle, bearings, and related components for damage.
  3. Prepare for Service: Shut down the equipment, relieve hose pressure, and secure the reel before disassembly.
  4. Replace the Damaged Drum: Follow the appropriate Coxreels parts diagram and service instructions for your model.
  5. Rewind the Hose Evenly: Guide the hose across the drum to avoid concentrating excessive force in one area.

Maintenance Tip: Avoid forcing additional hose onto an already full reel. Uneven or excessive hose winding can damage the drum and other reel components.
