The adjusting screw kit for the valve on Actisol 12" and 18" wands. It includes the three small parts at the back of the valve that set and hold the valve's adjustment: the brass adjusting nut, the lock nut that locks it in place, and the snap ring that retains the safety lock screw. These parts set how far the valve opens when you squeeze the trigger and how completely it closes when you let go. When they wear, strip or go missing, the wand may not open fully, may not shut off cleanly, or the trigger may feel loose.

My wand won't shut off or won't open fully. Is it this kit?
It can be, if the adjusting nut has slipped or its threads are stripped. Also check the Teflon seat at the front of the valve. Debris on the seat or a nicked seat is a common cause of a wand that won't shut off. The Actisol Teflon seat is interchangeable with the B&G SP-159 soft seat gasket.
What does the snap ring do?
It holds the 300028 safety lock screw in the back of the valve body. A missing snap ring can let the lock screw back out.
Any tips for the repair?
Back-flush the wand first so it's free of insecticide, and keep the small parts together in a closed container while you work. After reassembly, adjust the nut so the valve opens fully when you squeeze the trigger and closes completely when you release it, then tighten the lock nut against it.
