Built in-house at our Phoenix shop for power sprayers and spray rigs. When you fill your tank, water from your hose drops through open air into the tank instead of the hose sitting in the tank. That gap means chemical can never be siphoned back into the water supply if the water pressure drops.
Many states and municipalities require an air gap or backflow prevention when filling spray tanks. Check your state's requirements for your application.
It mounts next to your tank's fill opening, with the spout reaching over the opening. Two spout lengths are included (about 5" and 7"), so it adapts to most tank and lid layouts. You'll need a flat mounting surface for the 2-hole steel base near the fill opening.
