Heavy Duty Coxreels Electric Hose Reel 1125 4 200 E

The Cox 1125-4-200E is a beautiful, heavy duty piece of equipment that is a great addition to any lawn and garden or pest control company truck. The E simply means its electric versus the manual model. It has a one-third horse power motor on the side which is just right for this size reel. While a solid piece of equipment that has a two-year manufacturer warranty you have to be careful to wind the hose evenly across the drum.

If there is an overload on either side it can pinch between the frame and drum which will throw it out of true and that is an expensive problem to have. We suggest purchasing a push button switch that shuts off when the button is released, removing the possibility of flipping the switch on and walking away and destroy your reel.

Andrew Greess: Hi, this is Andrew Greess at Quality Equipment & Spray, qspray.com. Today, I'm going to talk about the Cox electric hose reel. This is the 1125‑4‑200E, "E" meaning electric. This is a very popular reel for pest, weed and landscape professionals. It holds 200 feet of half‑inch hose, or 300 feet of three‑eighths inch hose.

If you're real careful about winding up really neatly, you can probably get quite a bit more hose on it than that, but that's what it was designed for. This is a beautiful, beautiful unit, very heavy duty, two‑year manufacturer's warranty. Heavy duty steel construction, powder coated.

We generally carry it in blue, but we can also get it in red, black and white, costs a little more, takes a little longer, but we can do that.

Comes with the one‑third horse power motor and this motor is great for this size reel. If we were talking about a bigger reel, I'd put a bigger motor on it, but for this reel, it's perfect. I don't know if you can see it, but there's teeth. This side of the reel is a gear and there's a drive gear at the bottom.

One thing I want to mention is these are pretty bulletproof reels, but the one way people do mess them up is if a tech is not paying attention and they wind up too much of the hose on one side. Then the hose starts pushing between the center drum and the frame, you can push this thing out of true, so you want to wind it up evenly.

A couple of other thoughts, the hose reel does not come with anything other than what you see here. The reel and the motor. You need some type of switch. We recommend a push button switch, so you can push it and the reel rewinds and you let it go, then it stops. The reason for that is you can't forget it, hit the switch, forget it, walk away and destroy your reel.

You also should put some type of circuit breaker on it and we also recommend a Solenoid. Those are all available on qspray.com. If you have any questions, please shoot us an email or give us a call. Thanks for watching and come visit us at qspray.com. Thanks very much.
