Birchmeier Backpack Sprayer brought in by technician stating it won't build pressure. Usually this means a Birchmeier check valve problem. We removed the check valve and found a piece of glass (see photo) that was preventing the check valve from operating properly.
The repair charge was not much, but the technician had to leave his job site, drive to our spray equipment repair facility, wait for the repair, then drive back to the job site. The lost time was significant.
To prevent Birchmeier backpack downtime, frequently rinse out your tank and run clean water through the system. Periodically do preventative maintenace on your backpack: take it apart, clean the components, replace worn parts. These simple steps will reduce downtime and repair expenses. You can find all the Birchmeier repair parts at our sister website.
